    Rick has been at Wood Crapo LLC since 1999 and was recently made a partner in 2003. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, Idaho in 1996. In law school, he served as an editorial board member on the Idaho Law Review and worked in the felony appeals division of the Nez Perce County Public Defender’s Office.

    Upon graduating law school, Rick moved to Salt Lake City for a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Gregory K. Orme of the Utah Court of Appeals. Rick is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts within Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. Rick?s practice focuses on a wide array of commercial litigation, including complex construction disputes, creditor rights, general business litigation, and employment litigation.

    Rick devotes time to the Utah state bar?s pro bono program, assisting clients primarily in probate and elderly law matters, including guardianship appointments and adoption related matters. Rick is also a Barrister in the American Inn of Court. Rick also serves on the editorial board of The Brief, a quarterly periodical published by the American Bar Association (ABA). Rick also serves as the Brief’s liaison to the ABA committees for Employer-Employee Relations, Employer Benefits, Civil Procedure and Evidence, and Title Insurance Litigation.
